An Evening during the Pandemic

Evening. Evening sounds good with a cup of tea and gossip around the tea stall, a relaxation amidst the hustle-bustle of our daily routine. But what about masked faces and captivity within the four walls? A new word is added to our vocabulary box, 'quarantine'. Life changed drastically after COVID-19. An eye on the idiot box where the intellectuals discussing the facts about the new virus and the daily counts of new positives is the new trend followed every evening. Whereas the cup of tea remained constant. The new normal was hurting different people differently. Employed people living a mundane life with a salary at the end of the month, the only motivating factor.  Students with a blurred future yet rely upon Netflix. But people within the gap of student and employment suffer the most. Thumbs are tired of scrolling through Facebook newsfeeds and checking the WhatsApp status bar.
